Adventure is out there // Victoria Hills Golf and Country Club

Linnea and Matthew got married at
the Victoria Hills Golf and Country Club on a very warm and Florida “Snowy” (aka rainy) day on December 21, 2019.

I had met the couple earlier in the year at Trilogy coffee to discuss the details of their special day in person. We chatted about the style and theme of their wedding, and what they were looking for in a photographer.

Linnea chose classic, creamy yellow roses to compliment her and her bridesmaids.

Linnea loved their venue, but also expressed to me that her and Matthew were not golfers and didn’t want the wedding to look like they were all about that golf-life.

Subtle notes from the Pixar movie, “Up” were peppered in throughout the entrance for guests (who came near and far) to get a feel for couples’ interests and personalities.

“Adventure is out there” displayed on their vintage photo prop section,
and their guestbook was labeled, “Our Adventure Book”.

Just like in the movie…

When Matthew and Linnea planned their wedding, they had no idea that rainy weather would force them to move the ceremony indoors.
Florida is a fickle fickle state, and with planning an outdoor wedding comes the risk of it being potentially rained out. Although you can’t control it, you can control how you feel about it.
Together we embraced it, and I’m so happy,
because the shots we really captured
(especially in the rain)
wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

Moments like these I can’t stage.
Well… I could,
but it wouldn’t quite be like this.
I will always appreciate (and aim to capture) the artistic beauty in a moment…
a truly candid and wonderful moment.

All of the guys wore socks of the couple.
The groomsmen sported Matthew’s portrait, whereas Matthew proudly wore Linnea’s face. This couple had me cracking up all night.

Silly golf cart photo was still a must.

After our off-road ride through the course ( and making several scenic pit stops) we could collectively agreed that the cart was part of the adventure and had to be documented in their album.

((( Post Secret )))

When children are labeled BEST MAN or MAID OF HONOR, I almost always loose control over my watery eye balls behind the lens.
Kids say (well, I guess I should say- they can say lol) the cutest things, and this little Best Man had just the kindest words to say about his big brother (our groom).
Believe you me the whole room had their hearts overflowing with love.

Much like the grinch on Christmas Day.

Of course then this happened, and we were feeling that too.

for Spirit of Adventure.
