Maternity Milk Bath Session

First off, I want to congratulate Ashley and Sam on the newest member of their family!
You may remember little Sophia (their daughter)
in her [coconut] milk bath session,
but now it’s momma’s turn!

I have dreamt of capturing a maternity milk bath session for forever.
When Ashley came to me with this idea, I jumped at the opportunity! Immediately, I could envision what I wanted the final outcome to look like. This session took a little more pre-planning than usual, but that was all part of the fun. Planning out the location, picking out the florals, and even creating the floral crown was all part of the session process and just made it that much more exciting seeing it all come together when it came down to the shoot day.

Special thanks to Trader Joe’s
for always having plant-based milk options
+
such beautiful florals and greenery!

Did you know that The Wellborn is THE OLDEST HOUSE in downtown Orlando?!

This session was truly unique. Remember how I said it required a little more pre-planning that most?
Well, aside from all of the milk bath props in order to complete the look we had to book a room for a two night stay.  During my stay I toured the entire property, learning where all of its angles were and potential photo-op locations. During my stay I fell in love with it’s vintage charm. It’s wooden floors that’s grain carried stories of the past century. The whimsical garden outdoors that felt like a miniature fairy’s lair. And… this window that drew in such gorgeous soft light.

Last but not least, I wanted to share this final
b+w image
that I took from one of my vintage Canon film cameras.
Because I hadn’t used this camera before I was still in the “testing” phase.
Not knowing if the film would turn out I kept it short and sweet. ;)

Thank you for reading.

<3,
Alice
