I met Cecelia and her mom at a wedding show and we talked a lot about what their vision was and the style in which they were looking for.
Small details
Photographing rings, accessories, flowers, table settings, all of those little details — these help give the wedding collection an extra dimension.
Perspective can change everything.
I like to get a little creative with my shots. While it’s necessary to get all of those “most-have moments” in the final wedding collection – I always aim to mix things up when I can. Either by taking shots from down low, up high or unusual angle.

Weddings are about celebrating – they should be fun. It seems like the more fun I have as the photographer the more relaxed those I am photographing will be. Maybe the best way to loosen people up is to smile as the photographer (I always come home from photographing weddings with sore cheeks because of my smiling strategy).
Sometimes it’s the shot you take a second after the formal or posed shot when everyone is relaxing that really captures the moment!
